TASTING NOTES

Vibrant and aromatic, with lifted notes of white blossom, Meyer lemon, and fresh pear. Layers of mandarin zest, green apple, and ripe honeydew unfold alongside hints of jasmine and wet stone. Subtle accents of lemon curd and delicate tropical nuance add warmth without overshadowing the wine’s crisp character.

On the palate, lively and beautifully textured, with flavors of key lime, white peach, and citrus. A streak of minerality carries through the mid-palate, complemented by touches of pineapple and apricot. Bright acidity and a clean, refreshing finish give this Sauvignon Blanc both energy and polish, true to its Sancerre-inspired style while showcasing Napa’s generous fruit.

WINEMAKING DETAILS

Fruit was harvested in the cold early morning hours. Grapes were then pressed whole cluster to tank and fermented on two special yeast strains particularly suited to enhancing the Sancerre qualities inherent in the ripe Sauvignon Blanc juice. After extended cold fermentation, the wine was held in a combination of small stainless steel barrels and tanks for six months, with weekly stirring of the lees, prior to final blending and bottling.
