2019 Phifer Pavitt DATE NIGHT Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)
Aromas of brambly blackberry juice, hazelnut, Maraschino cherries, toasted pistachio, fresh blueberry, baked apple, oolong tea, red velvet cake, black plums, with hints of pipe tobacco, pencil shavings, fresh leather and white pepper. On the palate, a complex and ultra-concentrated tour de force, brimming with dark black cherries, ripe blackberry compote, warm fudge brownies, pomegranate, rich pastry crust, luxurious dark chocolate, with hints of espresso. Exquisitely structured, impeccably textured. This wine will only benefit with some age in the cellar, but if drinking young, we recommend decanting. (Drink now through 2047)

Heady aromas of cherry pie, vanilla bean, espresso, tobacco and cocoa nib entice, with melted dark chocolate, dusted cinnamon, cocoa powder and brown sugar. Fresh leather and graphite. A balanced entry with astounding density. Flavors of chocolate covered cherry, marzipan, and layers upon layers of mocha that build to a grandiose finish of creamy fresh caramel, black raspberry and cherry.

Aromas of plum, cherry flesh, fresh roses, whipped cream, snickerdoodle, candied raspberry, currants, chocolate covered cherries, fudge brownies, sugar dusted confections, and garden herbs. On the palate - a rich velvety entry with huckleberry crumble, luscious ripe plum flesh, impossibly expansive and luxuriously appealing, with a long echoing finish.
